During the initial setup of your Player, you have the option to assign a Room Name, which is the name that will be displayed for your Player within the BluOS Controller app.
Change Player (Room) name
To modify the Player(Room) name after the initial setup, start by selecting the Player that you wish to rename.
Note: If you are using Amazon Alexa with the BluOS players, it is recommended to use a name recognizable to Amazon Alexa. For a comprehensive list of such names and further guidance on setting up Alexa with your BluOS players, refer to our Help Center article.
Android/iOS - Change Player (Room) name
- Select the Player tab
and select the required Player to be renamed.
- Select the Home tab
and tap the Settings button
in the upper-right corner.
- Tap Player > Room name.
- Re-enter the Room Name and select Done.
Windows/macOS - Change Player (Room) name
- Select the Player Drawer and select the required Player to be renamed.
- Under the left Navigation Drawer, select Settings > Player.
- Re-enter the Room name.
