By grouping the players in the BluOS Controller app, multiple players can play the same content simultaneously throughout the home. This is an excellent feature for when you are entertaining in your home or would like to fill multiple rooms with the same music.
Note: The following procedures are for standard multiroom grouping. For information on creating Fixed Groups (Stereo Pair/Home Theater Grouping), refer to our Help Center article.
Grouping Players
Android/iOS - Group Players
-
To create a group in BluOS, select the Players tab and choose the Player you would like to act as the primary Player of the Group.
The primary Player is the Player whose audio you would like to distribute to other players in the Group. If you use an external input such as an optical connection from the TV and would like to group that audio to multiple players, ensure the primary Player is the Player with this optical connection. -
After selecting the primary Player, select the Group button next to the other players you would like to add to this Group, and they will begin playing the same audio as the primary Player.
While the players are grouped, they will have an individual volume slider for each Player and a Group volume for all players in the Group. To simultaneously adjust the volume on all grouped players, use the top Group volume slider for the Group. However, suppose you find one specific Player that is not at the desired volume. In that case, you can adjust the volume on that particular Player.
Windows/macOS - Group Players

When you no longer require grouping and want to control all the players individually, select the Ungroup button next to the player group to disband the Group.
GROUP ALL/PAUSE ALL
- GROUP ALL – group all Players in the Players tab or Players Drawer simultaneously.
- PAUSE ALL – pause the playback on all Players in the Players tab or Players Drawer, irrespective of the grouping or playback settings.
