By creating a fixed group with your BluOS Players, you can have your players work together to provide a specific listening experience different from the standard grouping in the BluOS Controller App. After creating a fixed group, these players appear as a single player in your BluOS Controller App's Player Drawer. You can create 3 different types of fixed groups in the BluOS Controller App.
Stereo Pair
Adding two players to a stereo pair configures each player to handle a single channel output (left or right), allowing them to play together in stereo. Stereo Pair is useful when you place two speakers (PULSE 2i) on opposite sides of the same room.
Creating a Stereo Pair
To create a Stereo pair, perform the following steps:

- In the BluOS Controller App, tap the Player Drawer
> FIXED GROUPS. The Fixed Groups screen is displayed.
- Tap the + button. The Create Fixed Group screen is displayed.
- Tap Stereo Pair. The Select Players screen appears with the list of available players.
- Select the required two players and tap CONTINUE.
- Enter the name of the Stereo Pair and tap CONTINUE. One of the two players plays a sample sound (white noise).
- Select the corresponding player with sample sound (left or right) in the BluOS Controller App, and tap CONTINUE. The Setup Complete screen is displayed.
- Tap FINISH to return to the Fixed Groups screen.
- Tap X to exit. The Player Drawer lists the Stereo Pair as a single player.

- In the BluOS Controller App, click the Player Drawer
and click the context menu (3 dots) in the upper-right corner. The My Fixed Groups screen is displayed.
- Click the + button or Create Fixed Group. The Create Fixed Group screen is displayed.
- Click Stereo Pair. The Select Players screen appears with the list of available players.
- Select the required two players and click Select.
- Enter the name of the Stereo Pair and click Set Name. One of the two players plays a sample sound (white noise).
- Select the corresponding player with sample sound (left or right) in the BluOS Controller App and click Select. The All done screen is displayed.
- Click Finish to return to the My Fixed Groups screen.
- Click X to exit. The Player Drawer lists the Stereo Pair as a single player.

Home Theater Group
Using a Home Theater group, you can configure your players to provide Dolby surround sound to your listening space. Refer to our Help Center article for a list of compatible BluOS Players suitable for Home Theater grouping.
Creating a Home Theater Group
To create a Home Theater group, perform the following steps:

- In the BluOS Controller App, tap the Player Drawer
> FIXED GROUPS. The Fixed Groups screen is displayed.
- Tap the + The Create Fixed Group screen is displayed.
- Tap Home Theater Group. The Select Players screen appears with the list of available players.
- Select the required players and tap CONTINUE.
- Enter the name of the Home Theater Group, and tap CONTINUE.
- Select the player connected to the TV. One of the rear speakers plays a sample sound (white noise).
- Select the corresponding player in the BluOS Controller App, and tap CONTINUE.
- Adjust the slider to configure the distance of each speaker from your listening position, and tap CONTINUE.
- Tap the Play button next to each speaker to hear a sample sound (white noise).
- Adjust the volume and tap CONTINUE. The Setup Complete screen is displayed.
- Tap FINISH to return to the Fixed Groups.
- Tap X to exit. The Player Drawer lists the Home Theater Group as a single player.

Multi-Player Group
A Multi-Player group acts similar to standard grouping in the BluOS Controller App. The main advantage of a Multi-Player group is to group multiple players that should function together and not independently. Multi-Player Group appears as a single player in the Player Drawer of the BluOS Controller App.
Creating a Multi-Player Group
To create a Multi-Player group, perform the following steps:

- Tap Multi-Player Group. The Select Players screen appears with the list of available players.
- Select the required players and tap CONTINUE.
- Enter the name of the Multi-Player Group, and tap CONTINUE. The Setup Complete screen is displayed.
- Tap FINISH to return to the Fixed Groups screen.
- Tap X to exit. The Player Drawer lists the Multi-Player Group as a single player.

- Click X to exit. The Player Drawer lists the Multi-Player Group as a single player.

Balancing or Adjusting Players in a Fixed Group
- In the BluOS Controller App, select the Player Drawer
. The list of groups/players connected to the BluOS Controller App is displayed.
- Select the Fixed Group’s context menu (3 dots) and select Edit Fixed Group.
- Adjust the balance or fader of the secondary players in the Fixed Group or Stereo Player (+/-10dB).
- Select the Settings icon of any of the Fixed Group players for additional individual tonal controls of each player.
Removing a Fixed Group
- In the BluOS Controller App, select the Player Drawer
. The list of groups/players connected to the BluOS Controller App is displayed.
- Select the Fixed Group’s context menu (3 dots) and select Delete Fixed Group. (Note: If the Fixed Group is a Stereo Pair, both Players return to full Stereo mode removing Left and Right channel isolation)

Notes
- You cannot add a stereo paired group to a second Fixed Group.
- A Home Theater Group requires a PULSE SOUNDBAR (all models), POWERNODE 2i (with HDMI), or POWERNODE (N330) as the front channels.
- A Home Theater Group requires 2 PULSE FLEX speakers (any generation) or POWERNODE (any generation) as the rear channels.
- Only a Home Theater Group can output Dolby content to the rear speakers. For more information, refer to our Help Center article.
- When using POWERNODE models as a rear channel setup, connect the LEFT SPEAKER (+/-) terminal to the room’s left side speaker and vice versa.
- Players cannot be added or removed from a Fixed Group. To add or remove players, you should delete and recreate a new Fixed Group.
