BluOS CD-rippinga) products attach metadata to the tracks automatically. The metadata includes name, artist, album, and artwork. BluOS uses an extensive collection of metadata from music database services.
Unfortunately, when the internet is unavailable or if some tracks are very rare that they are not available in these databases, these tracks are ripped as "Unknown Album" with the time and date ripped as the title.
To resolve this issue, perform any of the following options:
Manually update using a Metadata Editor
Manually edit the metadata of tracks stored in the Music Library of the BluOS Players, using a third-party metadata editor installed in your computer. For more information, refer to our Help Center article.
Send us CD information to update the Metadata Database
You can send us the diagnostic log of the storage-enabled BluOS Player, for us to identify the table of contents of the problematic CD and inform the metadata database service providers.
Send Diagnostic Log
To send the diagnostic log, perform the following steps:
Android/iOS - Send Diagnostic Log
- In the BluOS Controller App, tap the Home tab > Settings button .
- Under the Help & Support section, tap Send Support Request.
- Enter the required fields and include the following information about the CD in the Brief description:

- Title
- Artist
- List of incorrect information with corrections.
- Tap Send Request. The diagnostic log of the player is generated and sent along with the support request.
Note: We may contact you if we require further information about the CD.
Windows/macOS - Send Diagnostic Log
- In the BluOS Controller App, under the left Navigation Drawer, select Help and Send support request.
- Enter the required fields and include the following information about the CD in the Brief description:

- Title
- Artist
- List of incorrect information with corrections.
- Select Send Request.
- The diagnostic log of the player is generated and sent along with the support request.
Note: We may contact you if we require further information about the CD.
The information is transferred to our database service providers to update their databases.
Once you receive notification on the database update, delete the faulty CD-rip, re-rip, and encode the CD.

Notes
- a)Available on Bluesound VAULT models, NAD M50.2, or NAD M50 (with attached M52).
- CDs with less than five tracks are more likely to have issues with identifying the correct Table of Contents.
- CDs with less than 50,000 pressings are unlikely to provide correct metadata when encoding.
- CD containing only 1 track is not identified.
