Can I use my TV remote or any IR remote to Control BluOS Players?

IR Remote learning is supported by specific BluOS Players* equipped with IR sensors.

Program IR Remote

To program IR Remote learning, perform the following:

Android/iOS - Program IR Remote

1. Launch the BluOS Controller app and select the required Player from the Players tab . 
2. Select the Home tab  > Settings button in the upper-right corner to launch the Player's Settings screen. 
3. Select Player > IR remote > IR Learning. The list of available programmable functions is displayed.
4. Select the required function, point an IR remote at the BluOS Player, and press the button to be assigned to perform that function on the remote.
5. A checkmark appears next to the function, indicating that the IR programming was successful.

Windows/macOS - Program IR Remote

1. In the BluOS Controller App, select the Player Drawer and select the required Player.
2. Under the left Navigation Drawer, select Settings >Player > IR remote > IR Learning. The list of available programmable functions is displayed.
3. Select the required function, point an IR remote at the BluOS Player, and press the button to be assigned to perform that function on the remote.
4. A checkmark appears next to the function, indicating that the IR programming was successful.

Delete IR Remote Code

To clear any remote configuration, perform the following:

1. Select the programmed function (with the checkmark).
2. Select Clear Code. The checkmark next to the function disappears.
   Note: Select Clear All at the bottom of the list to reset the entire remote function configuration.

Notes

• When using a remote to control the volume on PULSE SOUNDBAR, verify the TV audio setting and disable the built-in speakers of the TV.
• Optical Input (TV Mode) sets the source of the Player to Optical Input and is ideal for programming with the Power button of your TV remote.
• PULSE SOUNDBAR+’s HDMI eARC supports CEC. Controlling attached players with the TV’s remote may or may not work depending on the HDMI-CEC implementation by the TV manufacturer.

• *Note: BluOS IR Learning is available only for the following products:

  • Bluesound – Available for all Players except these Gen 1 models [NODE (N100), POWERNODE (N150), PULSE (P300), and VAULT (V500)];
  • NAD – Available for C 700, M10, M10 V2, CI 580, CI 580 V2, CI 720, CI 720 V2, M50, M50.2, and M66;
  • PSB – Available for Alpha iQ;
  • Bluesound Professional – Available for B100S, B400S, B160S, and B170S.
