With the release of the BluOS 4.12.4 firmware upgrade, all BluOS players can function as Qobuz Connect devices with Qobuz Premium and Qobuz Free accounts.
If the Qobuz App still displays Premium users only under Qobuz Connect for your BluOS player, please upgrade the BluOS firmware of the player.
Qobuz Connect
BluOS uses Qobuz Connect – one stream per account. You can stream from any Qobuz account to BluOS Player on the same network as the Qobuz app.
- Each Qobuz profile can stream to only one device simultaneously. You can sign in to your Qobuz profile on as many devices as you require, but attempting to stream music simultaneously on another BluOS Player or device automatically pauses the music on the first Player or device.
- Sharing the same Qobuz profile (shared username/password) with different members may lead them to play/stop music on BluOS Players inadvertently.
Alternatively, you can use the Duo/Family Premium or multiple Individual plans to stream music from multiple profiles to the BluOS Player without affecting the playback for other users.
The BluOS Controller app does not store any Qobuz credentials. Qobuz only authenticates the Player currently selected on Qobuz Connect.
You can also group multiple BluOS Players to stream music from one Individual account to all grouped Players. For more information, refer to our Help Center article.
Note:
- Qobuz Free account has certain limitations in playback. For more information, refer to the Qobuz website.
