If your BluOS player is not within the line of sight of the listening area, and you intend to control the player using an IR remote, attaching an IR extender to the BluOS player is necessary. You can acquire an IR extender from a third-party retailer like Niles, Speakercraft, or Xantech.
Note: The availability of IR ports can vary depending on the brand and model of the Player. For information on the IR port availability for specific BluOS products, we recommend visiting the Support Center of our authorized partners:
Connection
- Connect the IR extender to the mono 3.5mm IR IN* port of the BluOS player.
- Position the receiver (sensor) end of the IR Extender in a location that offers an unobstructed line of sight to the IR remote.
Note: *The IR IN port on BluOS Players does not provide power. To operate the IR extender, you must supply external power from either a wall power socket or the USB port of the connected BluOS Player.
For information on the setup of IR remote learning, refer to our Help Center article.
