Is my BluOS Player a Spotify® Connect device?

Spotify subscribers can access millions of songs from anywhere in the home using Spotify Connect and BluOS. It can be easily controlled using the BluOS Controller and Spotify Apps.

All BluOS Players now support both Spotify Free and Premium accounts. For more information, refer to our Help Center article.

You can visit www.spotify.com to create a Spotify account (premium options available).

Spotify Connect

To Spotify Connect BluOS Players, perform the following steps:

Note: Ensure that the Spotify App (mobile/computer) is on the same WiFi network as the BluOS Players.

After establishing Spotify Connect with the desired player, you gain access to a range of limited tasks from the Now Playing screen, including the ability to Play/Pause and skip to the Next/Previous tracks.

  1. In the Spotify App, play the required audio track.
  2. Select Spotify Connect mceclip2.png and select the required BluOS Player to play the audio track.

Disconnect Spotify Connect

To disconnect the BluOS Player from Spotify Connect, perform the following steps:

Android/iOS - Disconnect Spotify Connect

  1. In the BluOS Controller App, select the Players tab Playerstab_icon.png and select the BluOS Player connected to another Spotify Account.
  2. Tap the Music tab 017_Musictab_button.png.
  3. Under the Music Services section, select Manage > Spotify.
  4. Tap Logout.

Windows/macOS - Disconnect Spotify Connect

  1. Launch the BluOS Controller app and select the Player connected to Spotify Connect from the Player Drawer.
  2. under the left Navigation Drawer, select Music Services > Spotify.
  3. Select Logout.

Notes

  • The Spotify Icon in the Music Services menu of the BluOS Controller App is a shortcut to the Spotify App installation from Spotify.com (Windows/macOS), App Store(iOS), and Google Play (Android).
  • Spotify does not require configuration in the BluOS Controller App.
  • Android/iOS: A Spotify Icon appears in the Music Tab 017_Musictab_button.png > Music Services section when any BluOS Player has been used as a Spotify Connect device. Selecting this icon resumes the currently paused stream or playlist in the connected Spotify account.
  • Windows/macOS: A Spotify Icon appears in the Navigation Drawer of any BluOS Player that has been used as a Spotify Connect device. Selecting this icon resumes the currently paused stream or playlist in the connected Spotify account.
