If you receive the error message – “You need permission to perform this action” when you try to delete files from the VAULT/M50’s internal hard drive, it indicates that the permissions to the files are inherited from the source folder.
This sometimes occurs when you move files instead of copy files to the VAULT/M50.
Reassign file permission
To reassign file permission to VAULT/M50, perform the following steps:
Android/iOS - Reassign file permission
- Launch the BluOS Controller app, navigate to the Players tab , and select the required BluOS Player (VAULT/M50).
- Tap the Home tab > Settings button .
- Under the Help & Support section, tap Diagnostics > Reboot.
- When the Player returns to its regular state, initiate the Rebuild Index procedure.
Windows/macOS - Reassign file permission
- In the BluOS Controller App, select the Player Drawer.
- Select the required Player (VAULT/M50).
- Under the left Navigation Drawer, select Help >Diagnostics > Reboot.
- When the Player returns to its regular state, initiate the Rebuild Index procedure.
