When a USB drive or network share is connected to your BluOS device, the BluOS app will need to build an index of the connected music library. The index is essentially a road map for the BluOS app to know how to navigate to each song in your music library and allow seamless playback of this library.
After connecting a USB drive or network share the indexing process will begin automatically and the LED on the connected player will turn white. Once the index returns to solid blue, the index is complete and you will then have access to your connected library.
Reindexing
If changes are made to your library, the BluOS app will require a reindex to recognize the changes which were made. A reindex will scan your music library from any newly added, removed or updated files and have these changes reflected in the BluOS app.
To perform this reindex, go to Settings > Music Library > Reindex Music Collection and shortly after you will see the current progress of the indexing on this same screen.
Rebuild Index
If you find that changes you have made are not correctly appearing in your library after performing a reindex, you can try deleting and recreating the index by performing a rebuild index. The rebuild index option can be found by going to Help > Diagnostics > Rebuild Index. The rebuild index option may take much longer to complete than a standard reindex but this will ensure any changes you have made to your music library are recognized by the BluOS application.
