Note: If the required WiFi Network does not appear or is hidden, select Manual SSID Entry from the drop-down menu (last). Enter the Wireless SSID and select the Protection type the network uses. - Enter password or key (if protected): Enter the wireless network's password.
- Player name: Choose the preset player name from the dropdown selections.
-
Custom name: Input a personalized name to alter the default player name.
Note: Player's default name – The default name is listed as the product name followed by the last four digits in the MAC (Machine Access Control) address (example: NODE 2-001A). The complete 12-digit MAC address is printed on a sticker on the bottom or back panel of the Player.

Analog Input / Optical Input / HDMI / Phono / Coaxial / Line / Microphone / AES|EBU / Balanced: When an external source is connected via the Analog/Optical/HDMI/Phono/Coaxial/Line/Microphone/AES|EBU/Balanced port, an Analog/Optical/HDMI/Phono/Coaxial/Line/Microphone/AES|EBU/Balanced Input button will appear respectively under the Music tab > Music Sources > Inputs, allowing you to choose it as a source. The Input source is dedicated to the Player with a physically attached source. However, this Player can also serve as a Primary Player and stream content to multiple Grouped Players. Learn more.
Note: Source Settings menu availability can vary based on individual Players.
- Name: Change the name of the Source Input.
- Icon: Change the icon of the Source Input.
-
Auto Sense: When Auto Sense is enabled, your Player will automatically switch to this source upon detecting a valid signal (unless a different digital input is active). If Auto Sense is disabled, you must manually choose the input source. Learn more.
Note: Only one source can have Auto Sense turned on. -
MQA Pass-through: When you connect an MQA-certified CD player or another MQA-certified device to your Player's digital inputs, you can activate MQA Pass-through. This setting allows the BluOS-enabled Player to function as the MQA decoder or renderer. Learn more.
Note: This option is accessible only when A/V mode is disabled. -
A/V mode: Enable or disable the A/V mode. When enabled, the BluOS automatically adjusts the audio delay to keep the grouped BluOS devices in sync with the connected video source. Learn more.
Note: This option is accessible only when MQA Pass-through is disabled. -
Lip-sync delay [50 ~ 150 ms]: Incorporate a maximum of 150 milliseconds of audio delay to compensate for potential delays in the audio signal reaching the Player before video playback from an external device like a Cable Box or BluRay Player. Ideally, ensure direct connections of all devices to your TV Display and link the TV Audio Output to the Player.
Note: This slider is available only when A/V mode is enabled. - Compressed Grouped Audio: Enable this option for utilizing high-quality, low-latency compression when relaying audio from this source to other group members. This minimizes network strain and typically enhances overall reliability.
- Hide source: Enable this option to conceal the source from appearing in the Music tab > Music Sources > Inputs when an external device is connected through the Player's Input source port.
- Indicator Brightness: Alter or deactivate the brightness of the Status Indicator (LED) on BluOS Players. Choose from three available settings: Normal, Dim, or Off.
-
Power:
-
Amplifier Standby: As the default behavior, BluOS players will enter a low-power standby mode if there is no playback on the Player for 15 minutes. For players equipped with an internal amplifier, enabling this option will also transition the amplifier into standby mode after the same 15-minute interval. Activating the standby mode for the amplifier serves to decrease power consumption and enhance the amplifier's lifespan by permitting it to cool down during idle periods.
Note: Enabling the amplifier standby feature might result in a brief delay when initiating playback on your BluOS Player as the amplifier undergoes a warming-up process.

- Reindex music collection: If changes are made to your library, the BluOS Controller app will require a reindex to recognize the changes that were made. Reindexing involves scanning your music library for any newly added, removed, or updated files, ensuring that these changes are accurately displayed within the BluOS Controller app. Learn more.
-
Optimize Artwork: When Optimize Artwork is enabled, the BluOS firmware does not focus on the specific resolution of the file (e.g., 300x300, 500x500, 1024x1024). The restriction applies solely to the artwork file's size. For external graphics exceeding 600 KB but under 4 MB, BluOS resizes them to a 600x600 JPG format. Additionally, Portable Network Graphic files (.png) are converted to 600x600 JPG and resized.
When Optimize Artwork is disabled, ensure that the artwork resolution does not exceed 1200x1200 pixels, and the file size remains under 600 KB. Learn more.
